Eileen
Buckholtz is co-director of
Teendriving.com,
the Internet’s
top ranked teen driving website and one of the
most popular resources for driving tips. The site has been helping
teens be safer drivers ever since she and her son Ryan developed it
back in 1994 when he was learning to drive.
I invited Eileen to join us to talk about how we as parents can help make
the driving experience safer for our children.
Featured Resources for Parents & Teens:
-
My Out of Control Teen
- don’t let the title fool you. Your teen doesn’t need to be
totally out of control for you to reap the
benefits of this great program because it is great for any
parent of strong-willed children.
-
The Driving Book - This
outstanding, common-sense guide covers important topics not
mentioned in standard manuals such as automobile maintenance,
getting gasoline, the differences between city and country
driving, bad weather, the usefulness of cell phones in
emergencies, and road rage. The book is clearly written and well
organized, but it is also humorous and appealing, with
lighthearted illustrations throughout
.
The Parenting My Teen Podcast
is a show all about you and your teens. Parenting teenagers is a very rewarding experience, but it isn’t always an easy job.
We are here to help you along the way with our team of teen
experts.
During each show, we tackle some of the issues
that come with parenting teenager. We will discuss the
issues that you and your teen are
dealing with. We talk about anything from school and peer
pressure to drinking and drugs. We get you through the first
stages of puberty all the way to college admissions. Along the way we get input from our team of
experts including teachers, coaches and a nutritionist. Of
course there will also be plenty of opportunities for the teens
themselves to speak up and give us their perspective on the topic we are discussing and of
course to let us know what is going on in their lives, what’s
important to them.
All in all, this show is jammed packed with anything you as a
parent of a teen are dealing with on a daily basis. We offer a
fresh perspective on the parent-teen relationship and offer
wonderful tools, resources and advice on parenting teenagers. The show was
created to give you hands on advice and suggestions. |
